This workshop is designed to give you an in-depth industry overview to help you decide if exploring voice acting feels like a good fit for you.

Build your voiceover career from a solid foundation!

*UNLV Approved Course. Each session includes hands-on recording & feedback. A skill assessment will be shared with each voicer at the conclusion of week 4! In four weeks you’ll have a good idea if voice acting is a fun new hobby or if it’s something you’d like to further pursue for part-time or full-time opportunities. Either way, we’re here to help, and you’ll love the process of getting better acquainted with your voice & learning how to use it!

In four weeks we’ll cover topics like:

• An overview of how the Voiceover Business works
• The tools of the trade – including demos and home studios
• Finding your voice & which genres make sense for your sound
• Understanding how & where to look for Voiceover opportunities
• How to break down a script
• Weekly hands-on recording & feedback

A private skill assessment will be shared with each student at the conclusion of week 4. No two voices sound the same and no two voiceover journeys look the same either. So, should you decide to continue studying with us after completing our 4 week beginner’s course, we will provide you with a custom action plan toward achieving your personal goals.

Our “Ongoing Voiceover Workshops” are weekly, performance-focused workshops.

Learn from full-time, working voiceover professionals in our three-hour, fun-filled, hands-on experience. Step up to the mic for script reading and pro feedback in this energetic and fast-moving workshop! The best way to learn the art of voice acting is by doing it! We cover every area of voiceover, including mic technique, interpreting scripts, breathing, diction, auditioning techniques, booth etiquette, different job opportunities in voice-over, how the business works, the tools needed and much more!

The Voice Actors Studio provides a creative and supportive environment to find your voice and then successfully apply your skills and talent to the industry. Also, engage your ears in the “art of listening.” Having the opportunity to observe fellow voice actors read, receive direction and dial in their performances will shape your ears to understand the industry’s expectations.

*Students will receive an mp3 copy of all workshop recordings along with their coaches’ feedback. All skill levels are welcome to attend: Beginner, Intermediate, and working pro!

Specialty Workshops are booked “a la carte” and they focus on specific areas of your voice over journey. Select workshops that align with your interests and goals, and chip away at them at your own pace!

All Specialty performance workshops will be fully interactive and hands-on, including script reading, direction, and feedback, all done either in-person or virtually from the comfort of your own home! All non-performance or lecture workshops will be led virtually! Please read each Specialty workshop description carefully.
