Hello to all! It is my pleasure to introduce you to a funny and bright voice over actor, Jennifer Senkowski. Jennifer admits to always being fascinated in voice over but never considered it as a career option. She always loved documentaries but thought you needed to be an expert in a documentary subject to be considered for its narration. After further investigation she discovered that being a voice over actor was a viable career pursuit. Jennifer began her higher education with two years as a physics major switching to six years of vocal performance to become an opera singer. She performed in several operas in “pants roles” (any male character sung or acted by a female) and performed the mezzo-soprano role of Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro. However, Jennifer found that live performance was not conducive to raising young children and living a military life. In February of 2017 Jennifer took the Intro to Voice Over Class and dove headfirst into the On-Going classes in March, adding one-on-one classes with Melissa Moats and Shelley Avellino. Jennifer feels that the On-Going classes are the heart of the learning process and looks forward to eventually taking all genre specific classes. She is most comfortable with commercial, eLearning and narration genres. Her favorite booking was a spot for a regional small bank where she performed here, was directed on the east coast and recorded in the south. Jennifer admits to being quite a geek, loving video games and science fiction. Thank you, Jennifer, for sharing your voice over adventure with us.
