Hi my fellow voicers! In this issue I want to tell you about the amazing conversation I had with our talented coach, Dustin Ebaugh. Dustin hails from Kansas and in Kansas is where he began his voiceover career. For 14 years Dustin was a radio DJ and station program manager. Dustin began booking voiceover jobs on the side for an ad agency. His first VO job was voicing a Block Buster Video commercial. In addition, he began his eLearning company, TVandRadioVoices.com. In the early days Dustin cast himself and his friends to voice the jobs.
He officially left radio in 2006 and after moving to Las Vegas in 2011, his voiceover career had grown to the point where his wife, Kirissa Shipp took over the eLearning business. Kirissa continues to run TVandRadioVoices.com and is part of the TVAS coaching staff sharing her immense knowledge in all things eLearning. After moving to Las Vegas Dustin became friends with Dave Courvoisier. Dave recommended meeting John McClain which led to his introduction to our Mama VO and her husband Troy. Dustin has known them since the early days of Melissa and Troy holding classes in their home. His favorite classes were the On-going because the feed back that the coaches provide is so helpful. He also feels that the information gained from taking Troy Moats’ marketing class is a valuable asset to any voice talent. The majority of Dustin’s voiceover work is in the commercial genre but he also does announcing and spots for explainer videos. Dustin is proud of the spot he did for the UNLV Running Rebels, hired by our very own John McClain. Here is another favorite of Dustin’s. Something about Dustin that you may not know?…he is one of the four original founders of world-voices.org!! I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with Dustin. Just a personal note……Dustin voiced Santa on my demo and he was perfect! Thank you, Dustin. You can contact him at his email: dustin@dustinebaugh.com. Please visit his website.
