Hello fellow voicers! Welcome to our premier edition of “Joy’s Talent Spotlight.” I was so excited to invite our fellow student, Chris Voors, to be our very first interview. Chris started his voice over adventure approximately two years ago when he walked through the doors of TVAS. From childhood, he enjoyed pretending and mimicking cartoon characters, and loves anything anime. The TVAS On-Going Workshops are where Chris feels he gained the confidence and skills to prove to himself he had potential to start building his career. Chris says he owes much of his success to the encouragement he received from our Mama VO, Melissa Moats. He credits his growth to the classes coached by John McClain, who challenged and pushed him to go further and further. Chris is excelling in commercial work, would love to do more character work, and looks forward to voicing audiobooks in the future. Chris recently won a national ad for Riptide Films, and will be voicing the commercial for “Stratego!” This spot is still in production, and we will be listening for you. Congratulations! Besides being a talented voice over artist, Chris enjoys drawing and writing poetry.
