Hello fellow voicers and welcome to this segment featuring an extremely dynamic woman, Charlene Sher. Charlene started her voice over, radio, film and theater career in Cape Town, South Africa. She has appeared in several movies and starred in many famous roles on both radio and stage. Charlene was cast as the lead role of Martha in “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf”, Blanche in “A Street Car Named Desire” and Florence Unger in the female version of “The Odd Couple”, just to name a few, as her repertoire is quite extensive. Since moving to Las Vegas, Charlene remains very involved in our local theater arts. She co-starred in “The Diary of Anne Frank” at the Nevada Conservatory Theatre in addition to performing at the Smith Center. Just about a year and a half ago, Charlene began taking classes at TVAS to continue her voice over journey. She feels that the On-Going classes were of tremendous benefit in helping her squelch any fears she had. Her recent professional voice over demo was produced by our very own Melissa Moats. Charlene expressed her gratitude of how very kind and sweet Melissa was to her. She is looking forward to taking the business and marketing classes that will be offered in the future at TVAS. Charlene desires to pursue character and narration genres. She feels her accent (which is beautiful might I add) will be of benefit in her quest to narrate children’s literature and documentaries i.e. National Geographic. She is currently working on publishing her web site. Charlene was so gracious and absolutely fascinating and I thank her for her time. You can contact her through her email: onstagecs@gmail.com
